Planning and Design Support with Wind Simulation Technologies on GIS

We have developed world’s first GIS extension software named “Airflow Analyst” to simulate unsteady wind flow over the complex urban area in an objective and visual way which help us to make better decisions in various planning and design process.
In this paper, we will explain the wind simulation workflow and some user case studies in architecture and urban planning fields. Moreover, we will discuss the simulation accuracy and the computation time on general purpose PCs.
