Locating Hispanic Membership for Improved Access and Compliance

Latino Health Solutions (LHS) needed to find out in where in the country were high concentrations of Spanish-speaking members. Less than 10% of members fill out their ethnicity and language preference when enrolling. LHS partnered with Optum HealthState to map the Hispanic membership using last names and overlay them with other socioeconomic factors, LHS is currently using this information to better target marketing, outreach, and interventions that are geographically and culturally specific.
