Track: Emergency Management

In October 2015, South Carolina experienced a 1,000 year flood event. This presentation will cover how GIS software and data were critical during both the flood and recovery efforts to assist the Lexington County’s EOC, Public Works, Assessor’s Office, County Administration, Floodplain Management, and the public. ArcGIS Online web applications were used during the event to display critical data. ArcMap was used to determine impacted areas for both the initial and substantial damage assessments.
