DoD issued a new policy in 2015 to formally establish the Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) capability with applicability across all DoD installations, environment, and civil works mission areas. This presentation will outline the most pressing policy implementation challenges faced by the military departments, including the Common Installation Picture (CIP) and Authoritative Data Sources (ADS) for IGI&S.
