Re-delineation of Tropical Watershed, Étang Saumâtre, Haiti

Étang Saumâtre is the largest lake in Haiti. There is a paucity of reliable geospatial data for Haiti. A preliminary search for data for the lake and watershed yielded a geodatabase from the Nature Conservancy (TNC), but without accompanying metadata. The eastern boundary of TNC watershed is coincidental with the political border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, indicating a need to re-delineate. The newly drawn watershed is now a transboundary resource in a politically volatile region.
