Mapping Building Heights Using GIS and Photogrammetric Technologies

The City of Boca Raton maintains building height data to support staff with various management activities and improve government operations. A framework is developed using recent GIS and photogrammetric technologies to identify, measure, and map the height of buildings with high relative measurement accuracy. Building heights are represented in a data layer that may be used for a variety of maps and assessments. These user-friendly procedures may also be applied to a wide range of projects.
