Combining Multiple ArcGIS Portals

While enabling resource sharing, saving money, and fostering collaboration, uniting multiple agency portals also presents challenges and highlights differences in approaches to service enabling data. NGA adopted an approach based on best practices form multiple portals. Lessons learned include the need to document and conflate configuration differences, addressing issues relating to publishing and hosting services, approaches to curation, and the need for flexibility in governance issues.
