Modernizing California State Highway Right of Way Records with GIS

ArcGIS Server has been key in District 4’s evolution from paper ROW maps to the web. It began with georeferencing and serving thousands of images in Google Earth. With limited data integration/visualization, software issues, and Earth deprecation, a new solution was needed. The District now uses Server and the JavaScript API to manage 20,000 images. Migration to Server with task automation has saved labor hours and provided more functionality through the use of services and the JavaScript API.
