The City of Boise has engaged in a new model (based on GIS) to align community resources to improve livability and make measureable change on individual neighborhoods. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZf_JLDa9eM Economic activity, public safety, access to city services, and other factors are analyzed using GIS. These indicators server as parameters for a suitability index used to identify suitable neighborhoods for reinvestment. The metrics will also be monitored annually to show change.
