Abstract
Evaluating the Mysteries of Seismicity in Oklahoma
Track: Research & Sciences
Authors: Devin Justman
Maps are often used to communicate complex topics. Since 2008 the state of Oklahoma has seen an unprecedented increase in seismic events. This story map has been employed as part of a broader big data research effort investigating the relationships between spatio-temporal systems and induced seismicity. It offers information about earthquake history, physical mechanisms behind earthquakes, natural and anthropogenic earthquake factors, & individual and cumulative spatial extents of these factors.
