GeoVision: A GIS Self-Assessment Tool

Oakland County, Michigan has developed a strong GIS program that started in the late 1990s. We continually look for ways to expand the use of GIS and build on our existing foundation, which is why we created the GeoVision Assessment. This simple tool is used by County departments to evaluate current GIS uses, discuss new GIS applications with staff, prioritize next steps, and monitor progress between quarters. GeoVision is freely available to any government agency.
