Preparing GIS Data for Next Generation 9-1-1 Data Provisioning

The State of Vermont recently completed a project that implemented a NENA compliant GIS for the State of Vermont’s new Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) system. This session will focus on Vermont’s GIS data assessment process, GIS data development needs, and maintenance processes as well as lessons learned overall. Their project was critical for the citizens and visitors of the state and made Vermont one of the first states in the country to deploy an NG9-1-1 system.
