GIS and UAS at the 2015 Texas Memorial Data Flash Flood Disaster

Emergency Response GIS depends upon real-time, high quality geo-spatial content. During the 2015 Memorial Day Flash Flood Disaster in Texas, 125 SAR teams used a custom Collector app to capture and post search data to ArcGIS Online, where it was presented within the Operations Dashboard COP and to all SAR Collector teams in the field in real-time. High definition UAS (drone) imagery provided an up-to-date base map to assist the First Responders along the Blanco River channel in Wimberley, Texas.
