Leveraging GIS Animations in Local Government: Local Housing Economy

Recent upgrades to the County of Franklin’s GIS and land records systems have resulted in new insights into the County‘s economic health via analysis of the housing market. Land record information can now be directly joined to Franklin County’s enterprise GIS system via the parcel fabric through Universal Parcel Identifiers. Leveraging ESRI’s built-in animation tools, land records are processed into month-end and year-to-date transaction animations and sent to County Administration for review.
