Abstract
Show Me My House: Creating 1-Meter Land Cover Data for the Chesapeake
Track: Conservation
Authors: Cassandra Pallai
The Chesapeake Conservancy is pioneering applications of geospatial analysis in generating the Chesapeake Bay watershed’s first 1-meter resolution 11-class land cover dataset. ArcGIS has allowed them to create a maximally accurate and reliable classification through the integration and assessment of both spectral and LiDAR data. With the finished products, they will be informing EPA TMDL models, and assisting stakeholders in parcel-level prioritization of restoration and conservation activities.
