Abstract
GIS in the Great Indoors: Facilities Management in Oakland County
Track: Facilities
Authors: Michael Dagle
Oakland County, MI created a GIS-centric space allocation program that is used to determine the Facilities Division’s entire budget. Prior to the new program, the process was inefficient and offered limited reporting and analysis. Beginning with the Esri Local Gov Data Model, we developed facility data that created the opportunity for simple reporting, drastically reducing overall effort. This data was then shared with ArcGIS Online apps and work order systems, providing easy access to data.
