Collaborating Towards an Integrated Asset Management System

This project was developed to support the transportation group of the public works department. Some 30 datasets were maintained, typically in the form of a spreadsheet, with data being created on-the-fly by the GIS group. To alleviate this, an interface was developed to allow users to modify their attribute data. The GIS group supports the operation by adding the spatial component, but the workflow and turnaround time to develop accurate map and data products has decreased dramatically.
