Abstract
Modeling Spatial Data to Classify and Visualize Weather Peril Risk
Track: Atmospheric, Climate and Weather

Weather is relative. Two inches of snow in Atlanta, GA will have a completely different impact than two inches of snow in Boston, MA. The geostatistical analyst tools allowed us to visualize the thresholds at which an area may experience low to extreme impacts from a weather event. The IDW technique helped predict a value for any unsampled location. Now, we can answer what many have questioned before and that is, what will be the weather impact on my location?
