Abstract
Karst Identification and Assessment Using LiDAR and ArcGIS Collector
Track: Conservation
Authors: Carl Beyerhelm
LiDAR and ArcGIS Collector were used to complete an inventory and rapid assessment of about 400 karst features on Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona. Karst feature locations were identified from a LiDAR hillshade and published as an editable feature service for use in ArcGIS Collector. An on-device tile package provided visual context during disconnected field edit sessions. Field personnel completed 21 attribute entries and made photo attachments for each of the visited features.
