The Beginning of Enterprise GIS at Alamo Colleges

Recent growth experienced by the Alamo Colleges has illustrated the need for a comprehensive campus GIS in order to obtain a more complete campus operational picture. This presentation will cover the challenging process of developing an enterprise GIS from scratch, defining needs, establishing buy-in from multiple departments, shaping desired reporting and derivative products, evaluating current data, and developing a multi-year implementation plan to fit available funding.
