The City of Houston's Street and Drainage Division (SDD) had the huge task of managing maintenance activities of one of the largest storm water infrastructures in the country. The challenge was to develop a system that would allow documentation of work performed as well as give management accurate information over crew maintenance activities, i.e. assets inspected versus not inspected. SDD and the GIS Services department developed and implemented a mobile solution to improve asset management.
