Preferable Streets for the Residents in Densely Wooden Build-Up Areas

The narrow streets in densely wooden build-up areas have problems from the viewpoints of disaster prevention, while such streets provide the place for communications and the comfortable life. This study aims at revealing the features of the streets having such good points. Actually, the relationship among the physical characteristics of streets and resident’s behaviors/evaluations are analyzed with using GIS. As a result, they are influenced by the physical characteristics of the streets.
