We are using ArcGIS to create neighborhood level measures of the built environment related to walking, physical activity, and food access. We are also investigating the impact of exposures to the physical environmental such as air pollution, and to the social environment including segregation and violence. In a study on the impact of bike share membership on physical activity we are using data on bike infrastructure and grouping analysis to classify neighborhoods into categories by bikeability.
