Abstract
Mapping Natural Capital in Amazonia
Track: Conservation
Authors: Kellee Koenig
CI led a project to map 'essential natural capital' across Amazonia, to support multiple partners and goals. CI scientists collected existing data and conducted new spatial analyses to identify places important for biodiversity, fresh water, climate mitigation, food security, and human adaptive capacity to climate change. The team developed maps of essential natural capital and a report that can be used by decision makers at multiple scales.
