Using GIS for the Growth of Colorado’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

This publicly available study identifies potential impactful locations in Colorado to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. EV registration data by zip code was collected for EV density. Then, all EV charging stations were plotted, and conditional spatial analysis was used to identify zip codes with a high number of EVs but very few or no EV charging stations. Traffic pattern data and points of interest were added to identify common routes and locations for future charging stations.
