Public works departments across the country are facing extreme pressure from city/town management and the public in relation to citizen request, assets management.About 80% of all request handled by public works department are location based.Incorporating GIS into the daily workflow goes a long way in improving efficiency and effectiveness. This presentation covers GIS usage by the public works department of the City and outline the steps needed for GIS implementation in public works.
