Auburn's ROI problem was two-fold: The City was supporting and paying maintenance on legacy applications that provided limited functionality, while also relying on enterprise applications that didn't communicate with each other. With ArcGIS Server web services and ArcGIS Online, the City was able to consolidate and integrate applications. The move promoted collaboration, provided advanced features and increased the ROI of technology. With GIS, the City is empowered to make smarter decisions.
