Track: Public Health
Authors: SHARON BROWN
Children living in poor rural environments have numerous health & socio-economic roadblocks prior to kindergarten. Community focused, driven strategies suggested by multiple stakeholders as “specific to our community” have successfully identified interventions to provide sustainably improved health in our youngest populations. Using Arc Globe 10, low income, rural NC counties, with economic & child health & educational needs, were mapped to depict prevalence of multiple socio-economic factors.
