The Wildlands Conservancy (TWC) is a California nonprofit organization with a mission 'to preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and provide programs so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature.'
In November 2014, the GIS-shy organization hired its first GIS employee. Through an ESRI nonprofit grant, TWC has deployed ArcGIS Online to advance its mission, using various web apps and AGO analysis tools to manage more than 145,000 acres and provide outdoor GIS education.
