Abstract
Approximating Change in Agricultural Productivity using Habitat Data
Track: Agriculture
Authors: Julia Clark
When planning ecological restoration it is crucial to identify the project impacts on agricultural grazing land. We needed to locate prime agricultural lands and quantify project impacts in order to provide sufficient mitigation. Through habitat mapping, researching criteria, and GIS intersects, we identified where and how much the project would change the productivity in the area. The results guided the project design so as to minimize impacts to and maximize the benefits of productivity.
