Abstract
Field Interviewing Address Verification with GPS
Track: Urban and Regional Planning
Authors: Timothy Michalowski
The use of ESRI GIS technology aids field interviewers in survey research, and GPS capture is needed for address/housing verification. To help GPS best practices we report analysis on simulated GPS data capture for the entire City of Chicago. Using ESRI GIS methods/tools we examine GPS data points on all address parcels in Chicago. Geospatial results are presented on GPS capture for address verification by housing types, building footprints, neighborhood characteristics, and parcel areas.
