Email to Map Automation for Digger's Hotline Requests

Stevens Point Utilities receives daily hotline requests to schedule inspections under a state-mandated program based on the premise of “call before you dig”. Previously, regionally fielded calls were then sent to utilities as plain text emails with site coordinates. GISinc helped improve the request call response time by implementing a solution in Steven Point’s GIS that automatically scans and processes digger hotline email requests and shows pending inspections in the current GIS web map.
