Abstract
The Built Environment, Transportation Choices and Health on Noble Road
Track: Urban and Regional Planning

The Eastside Greenway Plan aims to connect 19 Cleveland, Ohio municipalities via a unified trail network. We used street audits, surveys and ArcGIS (v4.1) to better understand land use, built environment features and health outcomes along the Noble Road corridor. We found higher heart disease death rates in census tracts with more minorities and that the corridor has poor sidewalks and lighting invoking safety concerns in local residents that need modified to improve active transportation use.
