Abstract
NASA Applied Science Program Disaster Response
Track: Disaster and Emergency Management
Authors: Jordan Bell
NASA’s Applied Sciences Program works with the disaster response community to provide NASA satellite data and information products to decision makers. Disaster response coordinators located at 7 NASA centers throughout the country obtain information from NASA supported researchers and tailor it to meet the GIS-compliant needs of end-users. This presentation will focus on flood data and inundation product overlays provided to FEMA during the 2016 Louisiana floods and Hurricane Matthew.
