Financial Services as a Measure of Brownfield Environmental Sites
Track: Environmental Management
Authors: Elio Spinello, Charles Swenson
Brownfield sites are described as locations that have been used for industrial purposes that may have hazardous substances, pollutants or contaminants present. The United States Environmental Protection Agency provides grant funding for cleanup and remediation of Brownfield sites so that they can used for other productive purposes. This analysis exams deposit histories of bank branch deposits and Brownfield proximities to assess possible economic impact of Brownfield cleanups in a community.
