Abstract
Geo-designing Citizen Engagement–from Rainforests to Urban Communities

After having presented the GeoCitizen framework in 2013, we come to share first outcomes for users, from local GIS experts to non-experienced citizens, around cases that we built with communities in the Amazonian Rainforest (AmazonGISnet) and marginalised urban neighbourhoods in Latin America. Cultural and social differences challenge the proposed Geodesign of our GeoCitizen platform in action, and its embedded participatory planning and collective decision-making processes.
