Abstract
GIS Spatial Analysis for Associating Air Quality and Health Impacts
Track: Public Health
Authors: Francis Tuluri
Estimating spatial air pollutant densities facilitates finding the role of air pollutants in effecting human health. Such studies assist in taking remedial measures to improve human health and hence protecting the people from health disorders. The present study examines the spatial analysis of air pollutants and asthma data (2005 - 200) in New York, U.S.A. Kernel density analysis shows major hotspots for asthma discharge rate are observed in the same counties as that of PM2.5, SO2, and O3.
