Applications of two-dimensional discrete Fourier transforms for karst and spur & groove coral reef, using ArcGIS geoprocessing tools extended with numerical methods in the numpy Python module. Two-dimensional Fourier analysis of cockpit and doline karst has the potential to be used to detect geologic structures that may influence their development, and a similar potential exists for investigating the spatial relationships between modeled ocean surface waves on spur & groove morphology.
