The FY-2015 Rural Veterans Health Care Atlas is a resource guide created by the VA Office of Rural Health to provide information on the approximate 3 million VA enrollees and 2 million VA patients residing in rural America. GIS transforms VA data into maps to display areas of concentration of rural Veterans in relation to health care delivery sites. The VA policy and planning community uses GIS tools to advance the knowledge of VA data through visualization to better serve our nation’s Veterans.
