Track: Highways and Roads
Authors: Jeremy Planteen
In late 2015, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation developed and launched a full-featured Map & Data Portal. Containing over 100 unique datasets and 150 subject-based mapping applications, the Portal has had a transformative effect on the Department and has quickly become one of the most important tools in the Department for planning, data accessibility, and high-level decision making. The Portal is expected to save the Department over $1 million over the next two years.
