Track: Atmospheric, Climate and Weather
Authors: Calvin C Poulsen
The U.S. Drought Monitor has been continuously produced for over 17 years. While many things have changed and evolved internal to the process, the process itself has changed very little. The National Drought Mitigation Center has begun the transition from desktop based production to a centralized ArcGIS Server based authoring system. By leveraging the capabilities of AGS the new system will add stability, consistency and flexibility to an increasingly difficult to maintain production system.
