In Pursuit of Cohesive Geospatial Guidance for Forest Planning

The Forest Service has recognized the need to provide some consistent guidance for how geospatial information should be used to inform Forest Assessments and the Forest Plan Revision process. Through Regional and Forest-level interviews, natural resource specialists, Forest Planners, GIS data managers and Planning ID team members recommended various GIS datasets to inform various Forest Assessments. Via AGOL, we showcase these data, highlight best practices, and propose a more cohesive approach
