3200 test results of radon gas home samples (a decay product of Uranium) in buildings throughout the state were categorized by ranges and located on a state map with overlays of geology and elevation characteristics. Due to unique vagaries in the state's geographic jurisdictions, there were challenges to geocoding and using choropleths. Heat maps were useful for teaching. Visual maps were made for public outreach to show citizens where past concern areas and future like factors were present.
