Using ArcGIS, we mapped assets to determine if resources were sufficient to meet the needs of a high-risk community. We were able to quickly and accurately geolocate hundreds of data points from more than a dozen government agencies. We also analyzed asset proximity, which demonstrated certain assets were beyond the reach of neighborhood residents—despite their physical presence in the community. Our project shows where adequate resources exist and where more investment is needed.
