With plummeting costs for implementing UAV-based data collection projectS, an investigation is made to examine accuracy results of aerial photography captured from a consumer grade drone, using several work flow scenarios for survey ground control. Time, effort, data quality, and hardware resource variables are weighed for a common project scenario. Pix4D Capture, ESRI Drone2Map software, and Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor are incorporated as the principle tools to map a neighborhood residential block.
