Mapping Horticultural Tree Crops in Australia

The Queensland Government’s Land Use Mapping Program has mapped the location and extent of avocado, mango and macadamia orchards in Australia. Using ESRI technology: mapping is compiled in an ArcGIS for Server geodatabase replication environment; native field survey apps created with AppStudio for ArcGIS; and engagement of key stakeholders through a web maps. The application of GIS has delivered tools to growers, industry and resource managers to enhance farm-level decision support in Australia.
