Applying Geodesign to Urban Design of Mixed Use Developments
Authors: james sipes, Dan Meehan
Each urban area has a larger context- its region. To address challenges requires working from the regional scale to complexity urbanizing sites. Geodesign is a valuable process for these situations – it is comprehensive and considers myriad factors influencing place-- environmental, economic, and cultural systems. Digital tools aided in the design process for an area surrounding a new stadium: GeodesignHub for collaborative geodesign, and GeoPlanner to create site-specific solutions.
