Abstract
Automating Geotechnical Boring Data Collection
Track: Mining and Geosciences
Authors: Eric Ford
To help automate a multi-step data collection workflow for geotechnical data collection, the GIS team at Wood Rodgers developed a series of tools to both improve and standardize what has historically been multi-step process involving manual data entry. The workflow begins with Survey123, from there automated processes populate a SDE database as well as an Excel file, which is consumed by a 3rd party application for QA/QC and boring log creation. Results are visible with Portal for ArcGIS.
