Authors: Maurice Johns
With a current population of over 94,000, the City of Beaverton Police Department has used a 4 district boundary for over 20 years for its staffing and reporting needs. With an ever changing city limits and a growing population, an analysis was needed to figure out if a 4 district boundary still fit the city's needs. This presentation outlines the criteria and GIS tools that were used, such as the Districting for ArcGIS add-on to determine if an additional district should be added.
