The City of Georgetown TX has implemented a new Customer Information System. This presentation will highlight how the city was able to integrate GIS data into our business system. The integration allowed GIS to be the system of record for customer accounts and related billing information. GIS serves as the centralized data resource and is distributed throughout the organization. The primary goal is to eliminate data silos throughout business systems and this was achieved using GIS technology.
